Inventory Control Clerk
 
General Duties:
Maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Compiles inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. Monitors inventory levels to determine level of safety stock and provides notification to supervisor or manager. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
 
Specific Duties - Inventory Support:
Assist the Command Inventory Accuracy Officer (IAO) in conducting inventories
Aboard NSWC Corona and other designated locations
Perform inventories based on prepared inventory lists provided
Perform the necessary system analysis to ensure procedure compliance and accuracy
Assist custodians and department representatives in completing their inventories
Provide validation against property records
Perform inventories (i.e. periodic spot check, wall-to-wall triennial etc.) and report discrepancies.
Ensure all Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) files are maintained
Assist with ensuring that inventory records are accurate at all times
Conduct causative research and make any necessary changes in ERP
 

 
Education and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma or higher.
Requires 3-5 years of related experience.
 
Security:
Must have an Active SECRET or recently inactivated SECRET clearance 
 
Qualifications
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Heavy lifting (up to the 50 lbs.), as well as constant movement throughout the warehouse will be required to maintain inventory accuracy.
